Ken Nash, an American artist, illustrator, animator, musician, and writer, has made a vibrant mark on the cultural landscape of Prague, Czech Republic. Born in Hudson, Massachusetts, and raised in Troy, Michigan, Nash embarked on his creative journey as a copywriter and producer in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and Chicago, Illinois. However, his true passion for storytelling and illustration blossomed during his time in Prague from 1992 to 1994.

During his initial stint in Prague, Nash honed his skills as an illustrator and cartoonist, contributing a weekly cartoon to The Prague Post and eventually publishing his book of cartoons, "Prague on 13 Beers a Day." This period marked the beginning of Nash's deep connection with the city's artistic community.

After returning to the United States briefly, Nash ventured into animation in San Francisco before the dot-com bust led him back to Prague in 2001. Since then, he has been an integral part of Prague's creative scene, founding the Alchemy Reading & Performance Series and releasing two albums of original music.

Nash's artistic endeavors are multifaceted, spanning from his acclaimed collections of short fiction, such as "The Brain Harvest: Autobiographical Narratives and Other Fictions" and "Life Raft," to his dynamic illustrations showcased in publications like Myla Goldberg’s "Time’s Magpie: A Walk in Prague." He is also known for his contributions to the Prague Urban Sketchers collective, where he incorporates mixed-media elements into his sketches, reflecting his eclectic artistic influences.
